Princess Charlene and Prince Albert attended the Princess Grace Awards on the 8th of October. The awards gala is usually hosted in New York and this was the first time in three decades for it to go to Los Angeles.
Pregnant Princess Charlene in Dior |
With the event hosted by Dior, it only made sense that the princess would opt for a Dior Haute Couture look. The white sleeveless gown features an empire waist that cascades into a flowy, pleated chiffon skirt with a thin belt/sash between the contrasting bust-skimming and bump-flattering parts of the frock.
Huge pic, open in a new tab |
Dior has done some Grecian-goddess dresses for Charlene before, but this comes as the most beautiful and classic of them, it has simply booked its place in my favorite looks of Char’s and my favorite maternity dresses lists. I keep on thinking that we could easily see the Duchess of Cambridge in a similar dress during her pregnancy, don’t you think?
The Princess of Monaco styled her white gown with silver Dior sandals and kept her makeup minimal. For jewelry, she wore her HUGE diamond drop earrings that I haven’t been able to identify (yet). She’s worn them to the Boxing Bonanza and St. David’s Gala earlier this year.
Oh, and in case you haven’t heard….
