Last night the Prince and Princess of Monaco attended the Inaugural Monte-Carlo Gala For The Global Ocean which is Presided by Prince Albert and hosted by Global Fundraising Chairman Milutin Gatsby, the inaugural “Monte Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean” honored Leonardo DiCaprio for his outstanding actions for the preservation of our Planet. You may remember that Prince Albert and Princess Charlene (in Armani Privé) attended one of Leonardo’s gala’s last year.

For the event, Her Serene Highness wore a strapless black gown by Atelier Versace (Confirmed by the Palace).

While the frock was made especially for the princess, the skirt portion complete with a very high slit hidden by one layer of chiffon looks a little similar to this look from the Fall 2017 collection.

The intricate embroidery on the bodice has not been seen in any collection because is out of this world!

The only thing I don’t understand is why pair a dress with GOLD details with the SILVER sandals that seemed to be killing your feet a few days earlier at the Versace fashion show in Milan, but this look is by far Charlene’s best in so long so I’m not going to complain. Not even about her wearing only one of her Cartier stud earrings!

UPDATE:

In the picture below, you can see that Char’s dress also has silver embroidery on the bodice, which may explain the choice of silver shoes… So no complaints from me!

What a difference a few days make!
