The Princess of Monaco, however, chose a dress that happened to have her name from Ralph Lauren.
The “burgundy” (I would call it grape-colored) column gown is made of silk georgette covered completely in laser-cut sequins. The dress comes from the Pre-Fall 2017 collection. However, the way Charlene (the dress) looks on Charlene (the princess) is completely different than it looks on the model. Thanks to the Princess’s shoulders!
I don’t know if Ralph named the dress Charlene after the princess or not. But the off the shoulder neckline is VERY reminiscent of Charlene’s Armani wedding gown, so who knows!
The dress retails for $10,000 but has been sold out online after the Princess wore it last night. You can keep an eye on it if it comes back in stock HERE.
Keeping everything else, Her Serene Highness paired the dress with the Celia suede pumps in bordeaux from Ralph Lauren, too. The shoes retail for $625 and you can buy them from HERE. Cartier stud diamond earrings provided the finishing touch.
While I’m very glad that Charlene went for Ralph Lauren in such a flattering silhouette and colour, I’m not so keen on the dramatic eye makeup. Kudos for trying something new yet another time, though!
