On Sunday (November 17th), Prince Albert of Monaco handed out the medals of Physical Education and Sports at the Ministry of State and the Order of St. Charles at the Princely Palace in Monaco. Princess Charlene, who hold the Order of St. Charles herself, attended both ceremonies.
Medals of Physical Education and Sports
In the video we can see Princess Charlene standing next to Prince Albert and congratulating the recepients in a mix of English and French. The Princess looked elegant in an beige and offwhite outfit. A beige Loro Piana turtleneck matched with an ombre tulle skirt by Dior were the base of Princess Charlene’s look
What Princess Charlene Wore
Louis Vuitton Wrap Coat
Princess Charlene draped this Louis Vuitton coat over her shoulders. It’s a contrast to the monochromatic beige skirt and top, but still soft enough to keep the look romantic. The coat comes from the Fall 2019 collection and features bold shoulders and dramatic lapels in a wool-jersey blend.
Louis Vuitton Heartbreaker Pumps
Princess Charlene owns this pair in black too, but she chose to debut the nude version that day in keeping with the vibe of the outfit. The Heartbreaker pump is made of calf leather. The main feature of these shoes is the Louis Vuitton’s graphic V signature in gold-colour metal.
This look takes me back to 2012 when Princess Charlene was wearing lots and lots of beige. I miss those days because we used to see Her Serene Highness out and about more. You might find the colour a bit boring, but it matches her complexion perfectly. The focus at was the event and the prince, but the princess still gave the audience plenty to look at without taking away from the purpose of the event. The Dior Tribales earrings and Dior pearl ring add a nice touch and prove that the princess knows how to accessorize. To me, this look is a win.
Order of St. Charles Medals
Princess Caroline, Princess Stephanie, Camille Rose Gottielb, and Louis Ducruet attended the ceremony in the throne room at the Palais Princier. If you look at the first photo in this post, you can also spot Princess Charlene’s brother, Sean Wittstock. The Princess of Monaco looked more relaxed as she watched te Prince award the recipients. For the occasion, Her Serene Highness chose an aubergine (not black) outfit from Loro Piana.
What Princess Charlene Wore
Princess Charlene’s coat is also by Loro Piana and she repeated the Louis Vuitton shoes from the morning event. Her gold and diamond Repossi look completed the look. This a simple look as the Grimaldi’s always keep it simple for the St. Charles ceremony. Seems like her signature of the season is turtlenecks, do you like this trend?
Why does the Princess wear a coat indoors? I find this strange. The skirt looks nice, but the white coat on top is a bit strange. Again, the figure is not shown, but hidden. Why?
