On January 26th, Jean Todt, the President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile was appointed Commander of the Order of Saint Charles at a special ceremony at the Palais Princer in Monaco. Princess Charlene is very involved with the Federation as a special ambassador, having attended several high-level panels for road safety and participated in a video for the #3500Lives campaign (According to the FIA, 3500 people die in accidents every day). So it makes a lot of sense that HSH chose to attend this ceremony honouring the President.
