On January 26th, Jean Todt, the President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile was appointed Commander of the Order of Saint Charles at a special ceremony at the Palais Princer in Monaco. Princess Charlene is very involved with the Federation as a special ambassador, having attended several high-level panels for road safety and participated in a video for the #3500Lives campaign (According to the FIA, 3500 people die in accidents every day). So it makes a lot of sense that HSH chose to attend this ceremony honouring the President.
The Princess looked chic in the Green Tussah Silk Shantung Jacket and the Tussah Silk Shantung Capri Shorts. The tussah silk shantung is an iconic fabric from the archives of Maison Dior and while the jacket is a classic Dior Silhouette, the capri pants give the whole look a modern feel (despite them being pulled up a little higher than they should’ve). The brown croc belt adds a really nice touch and I think/hope the shoes matched.
Princess Charlene’s hair was styled very elegantly in the short-hair version of an updo by the skillful Stephane Madinier while Pablo Ardizzone added a berry lip to the natural makeup to make Charlene’s face pop.
What do I think of this look? YAAAAAAS, Princess! Give us colour, give us interesting silhouettes, give us new hairdos and good makeup!
