The Fête Nationale Monégasque celebrations took place today in Monte Carlo at the Palais Princier and the Cathedrale Notre-Dame-Immaculée. Princess Caroline, Princess Stephanie, their children, and their grandchildren all attended the ceremonies. Princess Charlene’s brothers and their wives and children were also in attendance. Let’s talk about Princess Charlene’s look for the Fete Nationale.
What Did Princess Charlene Wear?
In a nod to the Monegasque flag, Her Serene Highness wore a custom DidierAngelo red cashmere coat with a matching dress.
Princess Charlene paired the coat with a custom Stephen Jones hat.
La Princesse de Monaco completed her look with the Pamfilo 90 Boots from Manolo Blahnik, customized in a matching red tone. For jewellery, Her Serene Highness wore diamond and ruby earrings by Graff Diamonds and her Order of Saint Charles badge.
Before the balcony appearance, the Princess took off the coat, showcasing the interesting fabric of the dress underneath.
I love the red on Princess Charlene, and I’ve been crossing my fingers for her to wear colour for National Day for years. Head-to-toe red is very difficult to pull off, but I think Princess Charlene did it with grace and, well, serenity. The silhouette of the coat is not my favourite, but the Princess’s commitment to the look and the way she carried it off makes it a 9/10 in my book.
