For the first time since The Royal Couturier launched in 2011, I’ve sent Princess Charlene a birthday card. I’ve asked you on Facebook and Instagram to send the Princess birthday wishes and nearly 300 people responded. I wanted to make Princess Charlene’s 41st birthday special and the surprise is not just for HSH but for you as well. I’ve collaborated with Veronica Kemsky to create an illustration of Princess Charlene for her birthday card and I’m glad to finally share it with all of you.
The illustration depicts HSH having a private moment with Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella before a formal event at the palace. Prince Jacques is being quiet and sombre while Princess Gabriella, being the fairy tale princess that she is, is playing with her mother’s Ocean Tiara.
What They’re Wearing
Princess Charlene is depicted wearing the Monroe gown by UAE-based designer Hamda AlFahim. The halter-neck fuschia lamé frock features a gathered and pleated detail across the body as it cascades into a side train.

Princess Charlene is also wearing the Nuage earrings with rubies and the Nuage bracelet with sapphires as well as a pear-shaped diamond ring, all by Graff.

Hereditary Prince Jacques is wearing an Armani Junior suit and Christian Louboutin loafers while Princess Gabriella is wearing a dress by Fendi.
The background of the illustration was inspired by the South African flower Protea and Princess Charlene’s namesake rose.
