Prince Albert took pregnant Princess Charlene out tonight to one of Monaco’s most important events; the Red Cross Ball.

And just like her late mother in law, Princess Charlene chose Dior to design her a maternity gown.
I still don’t have an official description of the dress, but it seems to be made of blue silk taffeta with a draped black back that cascades diagonally from the armholes and the shoulders to reveal the back of the princess and continue to make a train.
I can’t decide yet if this counts as a tent dress or not, in some photos it looks almost figure-hugging, in others it looks pretty tent-y!
Charlene accessorized her look with silver Dior pumps.
Char’s choice for Dior makes a lot of sense. Not only is the house a favorite of her and the family over the years, but it also has recently signed a 3-year partnership agreement with the Princess Grace Foundation (more about that on Vogue).
As for the jewelry, Charlene has worn a new diamond flower headband and a pair of earrings.
And also a new diamond bracelet. The jewelry is most probably from Van Cleef and Arpels, but the Palace is yet to confirm that.

UPDATE: The earrings and headband are by Graff, read more HERE!

I will be updating this post with the description of the gown along with the official IDs for the jewelry and HQ photos.Meanwhile:
Do you like this maternity gown on Princess Charlene?
