Not too long ago, Prince Albert inaugurated an exhibition on the Grimaldi’s in Bejing. The exhibition included Princess Charlene’s Armani wedding gown and Van Cleef & Arpels Ocean tiara.
This is also not Princess Charlene’s first time in China as she visited in 2012 as a global ambassador for the Special Olympics. You may also recall that Princess Charlene welcomed the Chinese President with Prince Albert at the Palais Princier in March.
For this week’s occasion, Princess Charlene turned the glamour ON. This dress is sleek and very demure with high neckline, low hemline, and long sleeves. But man is it figure-hugging and is the fabric so subtly sexy. It comes from a very well known designer whom the Princess of Monaco has never worn before. Who made it you ask? drum rolls, please.
The master, Tom Ford. This crocodile Jacquard midi cocktail dress is made of jersey (hence how it’s so tight you can see her abs through it) and features shiny textured jacquard achieved with a croc pattern foil print applied with steam. So techy, eh?
The dress is available on Net-A-Porter for $2,435 and you can buy it from HERE. Some of you might think it’s too tight, and I’ll disagree. It’s so demure that the fit gives it a touch of glamour and sexiness that it would have been bland without. As if the dress isn’t glamorous enough, Princess Charlene surprised us with a gorgeous new bag.
This unique Louis Vuitton Capucines BB handheld bag is an homage to China. The special edition comes from the 2018 collection and features a hand-beaded and embroidered Shanghai skyline that is so vivid and colourful.
Here is a closeup to really appreciate the fine craftsmanship of this bag which is still available for purchase in-store at the Louis Vuitton Shanghai Plaza 66 for around $7160.
Princess Charlene wore her diamond and pearl earrings which she’s been sporting for a bit over a year. They are possibly by Graff Diamonds. The simple hairstyle complemented the look perfectly and the pink lipstick sort of mirrored the pink on the bag.
If this what all of Princess Charlene’s black looks are going to look like, I’m on board. Also, YAAAAS to Tom Ford.
