Princess Charlene was in New York this week with her husband, Prince Albert of Monaco.

The visit was mainly to attend the Princess Grace Awards, but they also attended some other events, and had few outings, with new clothes!

They firstly attended a luncheon on their honor at Daniel Restaurant, on October 22.

Charlene wore a red Akris dress with a matching red velvet bolero.
Both the dress and the bolero come from the Fall 2011 collection

The princess teamed her dress with Walter Steiger Taper Toe Curved Heel Pumps and Akris clutch.

Along with her prince, the princess mingled with celebrities, like supermodel and friend Karolina Kurkova who was wearing a Victoria Beckham dress, Karolina attended Albert and charlene’s wedding last year wearing Chanel.

I like Charlene’s outfit, it’s red! a color that we see every now and then on Charlene, although she always rocks it!
But I quite dislike the makeup (or lack of makeup) as she looks so washed out, and it’s really obvious that she was exhausted.

At night the princely couple attended the 30th Anniversary Princess Grace Awards Gala.

For this occasion the Princess wore a backless Ralph Lauren Collection Halterneck gown with gold beading on the neck, silver embroidery on the back, and silver fringes on the back that kept swinging all the night!

The gown comes from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, and Char accessorized it with an amazing new pair of pear shaped pearl earrings.

I absolutely love this look, if not for the Ralph Lauren dress, the hairstyle or the makeup, then it’s for the new pair of earrings, I mean love me some dangling pearl earrings!

Next morning, Charlene went out with her brother Gareth wearing either skinny jeans or leggings, I’m not really sure, with knee-length boots, white top, a cardigan, and a huge scarf.
Later she changed the top and cardi to a blue sweater to have a dinner date with Prince Albert (note her flower bag).

I gotta love her casual chic style -except for the leggings-.

Char also attended the Versace Soho boutique opening cocktail party in New York, where she had fun and mingled with many celebrities.

The Princess of Monaco arrived wearing a black coat with leather inserts, leather thigh boots with gold details and a clutch. Under the coat, a black dress with shoulder details was kept warm, All by Versace.

The coat comes from the Versace Fall 2012 RTW collection, you can but it in blue from HERE for £ 2,640.
The boots come from the same collection and you can get them from Net-A-Porter for $2,250

The Princess was having fun

I wonder if we’ll see the princes wearing Versace in the future, And I actually wonder if she has worn Versace before! for your information: She didn’t pick the outfit herself, usually designers send their guests the outfits.

Last night Prince Albert and Princess Charlene arrived in Montreal, Canada where they attended Ritz-Carlton Montreal’s 100th Anniversary Gala at Ritz-Carlton Hotel (wondering why exactly they attended this gala), They seemed to be enjoying themselves so much, and Char looked so relaxed and outgoing. I always liked the New York effect on royals.

But this is not enough for me to forgive Char on that bad gold dress she wore which I can’t Identify. Bad dress, Char. Just bad, and the length is questionable

Anyway, The Princess teamed her dress with her Jimmy Choo sandals, her engagement ring, and dangling diamond earrings she has worn before.

Okay she’s wearing jewelry, and it’s been a while since the last time we saw the ring, I might forgive her for the huge smile, or the princessy cuteness……….Maybe!

The dress is Ralph Lauren Blue Label

Thanks to Loubna from RoyalDish forums who could identify it, The dress is now available on Ralph Lauren website for $1498.00, and you can buy it from here

Here’s the description of the dress as written on the website:

elegant, vintage-inspired style with a touch of shine, our feminine
dress is tailored in a delicate Lurex® gauze with a halter neckline and
sweeping skirt.

  • Self-tie at the neck. Center-front keyhole. Concealed side zipper.
  • Circular skirt is cut on the bias for a beautiful drape.
  • Crinkled finish. Falls 37″ from the natural waist.
  • Includes self-belt. Luxuriously lined in silk georgette.
  • 57% polyester. 43% silk. Lining: 100% silk. Dry clean. Imported.

at the model, I don’t hate it as much as I did in the beginning, and as
the dress has a self-tied neckline, I see a good potential in it if
Charlene would tie it the next time tight as with the model it would
look way better.
