Ten days ago, Princess Lalla Salma joined her husband, King Mohammed VI to receive Francois Hollande and his girlfriend, Valérie Trierweiler.

While Valérie wore a very flattering and elegant Dior suit, Salma kicked it out of the park by wearing a Burberry Trench coat over a white dress, a Chanel bag and Jimmy Choo Degradé pumps.

The coat is from the Spring 2012 collection:

A piece of similar style was available at Farfetch for $1961 after sale but is now sold out.

I
like the coat, hate the white dress underneath (reminds me of when a
man’s under shirt is visible under his shirt!), love the bag and ADORE
the pumps, we should see more of this pair!

For
the night, The Princess of Morocco donned a spectacular white kaftan
with red embroidery, and just in case you didn’t know, these kaftan are
usually embroidered with real gold and silver threads and sometimes
real gemstones, while the belts are ALWAYS made of gold and gemstones!

Huge photo, I suggest opening it in a new tab!
Lalla
Salma wore a diamond and ruby pair of earrings which she has worn
before as she paired it with the biggest diamond and ruby choker I’ve
ever seen!

Adding a western touch to her oriental ensemble, Princess Salma wore red pumps by Manolo Blahnik!

Barneys.com gives you a chance to steal her royal style as these shoes are available there at the price of $1,685, BUY IT HERE.
These Manolos are described as:

Satin pointed toe pump covered in tonal crystal embellishments.

  • Approximately 4″ heel (100mm)
  • Leather sole
  • Available in Red
  • Handmade in Italy
  • After
the necessary set of formalities (including this questionable outfit
from his majesty), the royals seem to have had some nice casual time
with the French president and his girlfriend who I really like her
    simple outfit, by Dior too!

Doesn’t Valérie look exactly like Sharifa Khanum fron Gumus series?

I‘ve come to prefer Salma’s morning outfit to the night one, especially for the idea that she’s wearing something that’s not Valentino or Chanel Couture for a change. As for the night kaftan, I really like the details on it, however, Kaftans have been the classic Lalla Salma night wear ever since her marriage, I want to see her in some real gown, plus, I really dislike the choker, but I’ll keep that for myself as Salma is one of the very few royals who give us some serious jewel-sightings.

What do you think about Princess Lalla Salma’s looks?
